Vote for the Oscars – Contest App Created by The Boston Globe
February 23, 2012
If you wish you could vote like members of the Academy, or at least get rewarded for your movie wisdom, here is your chance.
The Boston Globe created the Best of Hollywood Contest so the general public could submit their own Oscar predictions.
Powered by Caspio, the app guides users through the 10 major categories so they can easily cast votes in less than 5 minutes. Once predictions are submitted, users receive an email with a link to their personalized scorecard so they can track scores while watching the live show.
Post-Oscar Contest Results:
Caspio’s Support team helped Boston.com implement real-time charts and reporting so users could see which nominees were trending and how others were voting.
With around 1300 total entries, The Boston Globe rewarded 7 winners who scored 100% predicting all 10 Oscar winners in every category.
