Caspio Launches MCP Server: Ask Your Data Anything

SUNNYVALE, California, March 11, 2026 – Caspio, the leading low-code platform for building database applications, today announced the beta launch of the Caspio MCP Server, now available at no additional cost to all accounts with API access. The new capability connects Caspio accounts to external AI assistants, enabling business users to interact with their data in plain English, without building queries, running exports, or waiting on reports.

The Caspio MCP Server is built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that gives AI tools structured, permissioned access to external data sources. Rather than copying data into a chat window or developing custom integrations, users can connect their Caspio tables directly to an AI assistant and ask questions in plain language. The AI retrieves data from Caspio, analyzes it, and delivers actionable answers on demand.

Conversational Access to Live Business Data

With the Caspio MCP Server, users can ask questions such as “Which customers placed more than five orders this month?” or “How do this month’s numbers compare to the same period last year?” and receive immediate, AI-generated responses drawn directly from their Caspio data.

Beyond read access, the MCP Server also supports write operations; users can instruct their AI assistant to add a new contact, update a status field, or log a record, and the assistant handles the interaction with Caspio automatically.

Designed for Business Users, Not Developers

The Caspio MCP Server requires no technical expertise to use. Sales managers, operations leads, finance teams, and executives can access and interact with Caspio data through the AI tools they already use, without learning a new interface or relying on a developer to pull reports.

The setup takes just a few minutes. Users create an API profile in their Caspio account, configure which tables and views the MCP Server can access, and connect from their preferred AI tool. Account administrators control permissions, determining exactly what data is available and what actions are permitted.

Part of Caspio’s Expanding AI Ecosystem

The MCP Server joins Caspio AI Assistant and GPT Connect as part of Caspio’s ongoing investment in making AI practical and accessible for every customer. Together, these capabilities allow Caspio customers to build AI features into their applications, work with AI tools inside the platform, and now query and manage their data through external AI assistants.
