Caspio Launches Caspi: AI for Governed, Production-Ready Applications

SUNNYVALE, California, September 3, 2026 — Caspio, the leading AI platform for building custom business applications, today launched Caspi into general availability. Caspi is Caspio’s AI assistant for building and editing applications in Caspio Flex, the platform’s visual app builder, through natural-language conversation. Previously available in beta as AI Assistant, Caspi is now live on all eligible plans.

Caspi enables the creation of a Flex application from a plain-language description. It proposes a complete configuration for review, refines that proposal through conversation, and on approval, provisions the full application in a single step, including the data model, sample data, pages, roles, navigation, and inter-page logic. The same conversation then evolves the application as requirements change, including restyling its look and feel on request. And because every application Caspi creates is a standard Flex application, users can open it in Caspio’s intuitive visual interface, the Flex Designer, and modify it by hand at any time, pairing conversational speed with full manual control in an ongoing collaboration with the AI.

Conversational Editing of Existing Applications

Caspi also edits Flex applications already in production. It can restructure applications, rearrange page layouts, restyle their appearance, and add reports. Changes are applied directly from a natural-language request, and layout changes preserve each DataPart’s existing configuration and data.

Enterprise-Grade Security and Compliance

Caspi runs on the Caspio platform, whose HIPAA and SOC 2 Type II compliance are independently audited every year. Applications built with Caspi are fully owned by the customer and include role- and record-level security, with unlimited users on every plan. Caspi uses OpenAI for natural-language processing under a Zero Data Retention policy, so prompts and generated outputs are not stored, retained, or used to train AI models.

Availability

Caspi is generally available now on the same plans and pricing as the former AI Assistant. Account owners and administrators can enable Caspi for their users in Account Settings.
