Several years later, we felt the time was right to migrate our data center operations from SAVVIS, a global data center provider, to AWS.

The easy-to-use and scalable AWS infrastructure has allowed for abundant capacity on-demand, and after years of use, we are still happy with our decision. Last month, our DevOps team attended the annual AWS re:Invent Conference in Las Vegas. We thought we would share a few factoids from the conference that demonstrate AWS’ astonishing growth.

Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) usage had a 99% year-over-year growth in 2014.

The usage of Amazon S3 (Simple Storage Service) reached 137% year-over-year growth in 2014.

Additionally, AWS also claims that they are the fastest-growing enterprise IT company, with over one million active customers.

Undoubtedly, the cloud has profoundly changed IT and the business world in general. Similarly, Caspio harnesses the power and capabilities of best-of-breed technologies such as AWS –  which are primarily designed for IT – and we bring them within the reach of non-technical business users.
