We are excited to announce the release of Caspio 9.6. The major feature in this release is the new List Data Type which comes in three sub types, for text, numbers and dates. We have also made smaller enhancements including three new chart types, easier access to tech support, and some bug fixes and smaller enhancements.
All accounts are automatically upgraded and the new features are immediately available to all customers and trial users.
New List Data Types
If you ever wanted to group several checkboxes to work together, or present a listbox that would allow multiple items to be selected, you must have known that it wasn’t so easy. The new list data type changes that. Now you can define a field in your tables that is designed to accept multiple values in forms.
The options presented to the user are managed in table design, and the values users select in an app, or via the datasheet are stored in the multi-select field. During DataPage creation list data type fields can be assigned form elements specifically designed to handle multiple values for displaying or for editing.

Three More Charts Types
In addition to all the new charts that were introduced in our prior release, three more charts are now available, namely Combination, Polar, and Radar charts. More customization options are also now available for your charts, including the availability of legend titles and auto-rotating Y-axis labels.
Improved Technical Support Features
Now you can give our Technical Support team temporary access to your account for a specific length of time right from within your account. Furthermore, you and the support engineer can now both be logged into the account at the same time.
We have also brought Support Live Chat right into the Caspio platform. So, next time you run into a question while working in your account, you can get in touch with one of our friendly technical support staff right away. We are available 24 hours a day, five days a week to help you with your questions.
