New Release: Drilldown Pivot Tables and More

Today, we are excited to announce the release of Caspio 9.3 for all new and existing customers.

This version includes enhanced Pivot Table reports, productivity improvements, and bug fixes to help you create more powerful online database apps. Read the release notes for complete details.

Release Highlights:

Data Drilldown in Pivot Table Reports

Pivot Table Reports have been enhanced to include an optional drilldown report that shows the data behind each summary value. For example, the pivot table below shows the total sales of each sales representative by product name. Using the drilldown report, you can view a detailed breakdown of each representative’s sales numbers.

Pivot Table Reports are available in Professional plans and higher at no additional cost.

User-Friendly “Display Values” Based on Relationships

Lookup fields provide user-friendly display text when the real value, such as an ID, may be difficult to understand. Prior to this release, Display Values were limited to Results Pages in Reports. Now, you can also use Display Values on Form DataPages, Update Forms, and Details Pages.

Changes to System Requirements

We continue to test browser security and compatibility standards to provide the best possible user experience for our customers. The localized version of the following warning message will now display above a DataPage when users try to access it with Internet Explorer 8, 9, or 10: “Your browser is not fully supported. Please use a recent version of a mainstream browser.”

Also, users will not be able to sign into their Caspio accounts when using an unsupported browser. It is important for Caspio administrative users to upgrade to the latest version of supported browsers, as older versions do not utilize the latest security standards and will no longer be tested or supported by Caspio.
