Caspio-Bridge-Product-Release-8.8We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of Caspio 8.8 for all new and existing customers.
This version includes new data types, enhanced grouping and aggregations, improved deployment into WordPress sites, and many smaller enhancements and bug fixes. Read the release notes for all the details.

Highlights:

New Unique ID Data Types
Three new data types have been added to the existing Autonumber to give you more options when choosing a system-generated unique ID for your records. They are:

  • GUID (Globally Unique Identifier)
  • Prefixed Autonumber
  • Random ID

Prefixed Autonumber and Random ID are customizable for different length, character and digit combinations based on your preferences. You can apply these data types to new fields, or convert existing fields to them.

Enhanced Grouping and Aggregation

We have expanded the grouping and aggregation capabilities in tabular reports to improve their scope, usability, and layout. Aggregations can now be applied to all group levels and grouped aggregations display in the grouping row.

We have also provided a new application Style called “Structure” that is designed to enhance the usability of tabular reports with heavy data grouping and aggregation. The new Style is shown below and is available here for download and import into your Caspio account.

Improved DataPage Deployment into WordPress

In this release, we have added a new WordPress option to the “Deploy” dialog. This option provides a shortcode that can be embedded in WordPress posts or pages, wherever you want the DataPage to appear. To utilize this deployment method, you need to download Caspio’s WordPress Plugin from the WordPress Plugin Directory.
