The Tech Cares award honors B2B tech companies making exceptional efforts to support communities, employees and the environment. Caspio was recognized for its extraordinary actions during the war on Ukraine to ensure the safety of the 70+ employees and their families from its Ukrainian office and for its support of ongoing crisis management efforts in the region.
When the armed conflict in Ukraine erupted, Caspio founder and CEO Frank Zamani flew to Poland, spending several weeks working with the Caspio Poland team and traveling between Kraków and Przemyśl to arrange the provision of safe housing, food, shelter and supplies for employees and their families taking refuge in the country. Several Caspio Poland employees also opened their homes to their Ukrainian colleagues, and the company mobilized its global customer network to donate to charities on the ground.
“We are committed as an organization and as individuals to helping address this crisis in every way possible,” said Zamani, a former refugee who fled religious persecution in Iran. “Caspio began operating in Ukraine 18 years ago. Dnipro hosted our first-ever Software Development Center outside of the United States. Our Ukraine office houses more than 70 Caspians from engineering, product development, sales and support teams. But Ukraine is more than just an international office — it’s home to our dear friends, colleagues and family.”
Caspio also made its no-code application development platform free for anyone helping with the crisis in Ukraine to rapidly build vital apps such as medical asset management, lost and found registries, volunteer recruitment and missing person directories.
