AutoValues for Generating Random IDs, Numbers and Passwords

Step-by-Step

1. Open up the Web Form DataPage you wish to assign AutoValues to and proceed to the Configure Fields screen.

2. Highlight the desired DataPage Element and select AutoValue from the Form element dropdown menu.

3. Next, select your desired AutoValue Type. For TEXT fields, there are four Auto-Value options: Random Unique ID, Random Password, User IP Address, and DataPage Host. For Number fields, you have the option to choose from Random Number and Random Unique ID. Once you've selected an AutoValue Type, you will be able to further configure the AutoValue.

Random Unique ID

Random Unique IDs can be For Human Use, and you are given the option of including a unique static Prefix to help distinguish between IDs generated by different DataPages. Then, set the complexity of the ID with the desired combination of upper or lower case characters and digits. It can also be for Application use and generates a 128-bit GUID.

Random Password

Random Password AutoValue has various strength and length options. You can apply a mixture of characters, digits and special characters for additional record security.

Random Number

Random Number, available for Number fields, allows you to specify a Prefix, the length of the number, and also a range restriction on the numeric value to be generated.
