SPAM-blocking with CAPTCHA

Caspio Bridge now provides a simple way to add CAPTCHA to prevent your forms from being submitted by automated programs and scripts. This improves security of your data and prevents SPAM through your web forms.

CAPTCHA, which stands for "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart", presents the user with distorted image of letters and digits. Such images are relatively easy for people to read but difficult for computer programs.

Audio CAPTCHA is also provided for visually impaired users to listen to an audio recording of the same characters.

"Range" Search Criteria

"Range" is a new comparison type available in Search and Report DataPages to search the database using pre-defined ranges with starting and ending values displayed in dropdowns, listboxes and radio buttons. For example, the DataPage user can search a database of real estate properties with various price ranges (such as houses between $400,000 and $600,000) which the Caspio Bridge administrator has already defined for them in the listbox.

Higher Limits for Large Data Sets

In response to many customers utilizing large data sets, we have provisionally increased the record limits in the following areas:

  • Dropdowns and listboxes containing data from lookup tables now support up to 5,000 records (from 1,000).
  • Data Download via DataPages now exports up to 100,000 records (from 5,000).
  • Datasheets in Caspio Bridge now display the first 100,000 records (from 10,000).

Obviously larger data sets require a longer download time. We will be monitoring the response times of deployed DataPages as a result of these increases, which may require additional adjustments to these system limits in the future.
