For example, you can download contact data you have gathered from a Caspio-powered lead generation form on your website and load it into Microsoft Access or Excel for tasks like mail merge - perhaps for generating letters and address labels.
So the next time you go to run that mail merge, your desktop database will be updated to include the latest sales leads. Or, the next time you run analysis in Excel, your spreadsheet will be updated to reflect the latest data your users have entered online.
The plugin enables your Microsoft Access desktop databases and Excel spreadsheets to automatically tap your Caspio database. At the same time, it means Caspio users can work with familiar desktop tools to get the most out of their cloud database service.
Please note: To use this feature, make sure your package level includes the Plugin for Microsoft Office. For security purposes, you must also create a "Web Services API Profile" in the Users tab of your Caspio Bridge account. This profile is a special type of user privilege with its own password and access rights.
